I'm Not Dead... but our modem is

by sugarburn @ 13/12/06 - 13:36:30

Hey to anyone who still comes here in the vague hope that I might have a second coming and damn well write something. And I am sorry for my absencce by the way... our modem went to a better place so no internet at home, and well, I've been sick for a while with God only knows what(Doc has folk sticking me with needles until we find out...). I think a few people have dropped me from their friends list, probably due to my recent AWOL. I wanted to write but things have been hard for me lately. I apologise but if someone not writing for a while offends you, you are a loon.

My man had his battle of the bands final last weekend. He came third. I'm very proud of my monkey. His folks came and were very impressed with him. Of course... he is awesome. Everyone at the festival thought he was too, especially the musos who ran the battle. He did real well and wants to enter next year.

Oooh! I have reading glasses now... I'd been having riciculously bad headaches for a while. Then came a shockingly bad migrane that had me crying in pain and throwing up for 8 hours. Fun times. Armyguy came home from work and took care of me, got me toast and water then went back out (after 10 hours at work and a 30 minutes drive home) to get me Nurophen. Then he rubbed my neck for a half hour until the mind-breaking pain subsided. He was an absolute angel. So, off to the optomotrists I went and found out that my eyes have an aquired focusing issue. Got me some specs and  now I AM HEADACHE AND MIGRANE FREE!!!!!! lol Its very nice.

We have duty visits to both our folks to do for Christmas. His folks are this weekend but he finishes work that friday so the week between this weekend and Christmas Eve (when we have to go to my folks) is ours!!! I forsee two people not leaving the house for 6 days, wearing nothing unless we have to go out for food... lol It will be awesome. Then after my folks we get to abandon and ignor civilisation for New Years and go to a groovy little rainforest cabin with a spa and no-one in cooee. You see where I'm going with this...? lol I cant wait. My mum offered to buy me lingere for the trip!!! Who is she and where did she hide my real mother...?????? But she is really really beginning to like Armyguy a lot. She trusts him to look after me and treat me right, which is a HUGE deal for her. She realizes just how great he is and how wonderful he is to me. Which is very very good. lol
I am freaking out about money for Christmas... I want to get everything and do everything right... But money is the main problem. I have an awesome REAL leather jacket on layby for my man. It was only $70, down from $199, would you believe! He's always wanted one just like it and I'm so happy because I want to get him perfect gifts. I have to get him a DVD he wants and an amp cord and something surprisey still. I've got him four presents already but... sigh, I am not yet happy with my range of gifts for the love of my life. My mum is giving me heaps of extra money, I think because she knows how tight money is for me and we both have "Not enough presents for Christmas!!!" paranoia. lol  Ooooh, in our house we have our very own apartment-sized Christmas tree!!! Armyguy bought it and the tinsil and baubles and the huge gold star on top!!! Its beautiful. And its got presents under it already, but I have to pack them up eventually and take them to Christmas at my mums. Armyguy is getting me 24 Derwent graphic pencils!!!  I have always wanted them. Always. And he got them ordered in special from the umpteenth store we tried to find them in. He got me a beautiful vintage-look mixing bowl I loved and a DVD I've looked for forever called 'Stealing Beauty'. As for the rest of the stuff he's getting and/or got me, I have no idea and that's the way he's keeping it. Damn him. lol I do love surprises so much though. My parents are increasingly difficult to buy for so I bought them a moblie phone for emergencies(being that dad falls asleep driving regularly, this is a good idea) and a lot of chocolate. But I want to get them each something nice. I just don't know what... bah humbug. Mum bought Armyguy and I a gorgeous outdoor set of a table and two chairs for our courtyard; wrought iron and glass table, resin wicker and wrought iron chairs. Beautiful and durable. lol.
I'm thinking that aside from the Christmas my dad had buggered off, this might be my best Christmas ever. Presents, KFC, bon bons, big love and cake... That's a thumbs up from me. lol.

Well, this blog has become a tome of ,if not War and Peace proportions, then at least the Clift notes version... or maybe a very long and boring text book. lol So instead of boring you to death I should probably get hom and start on dinner. At least that means that I want have to sit in this computer lab with someone I really hate any longer. I'll explain later...
Anyway...

Big hugs for Christmas and the New Year to you ALL!!! But especially warm and Holly decked ones for Ang, her man, and her little ones 'cause Chritmas with kiddies is a very special time. I hope that if you hvae kiddies then you are spoiling them rotten for the season and that you have an awesoem Chrissy together...
I'll try and be more punctual with my blogging... Try being the operative word here... lol
